Dear
Fran,
Just a quick
note to thank you for all your assistance in helping xxxxx
and xxxxx each gain a Music Scholarship at
xxxxx which covers 50% of the School tuition fee plus
100% of music tuition fees. The workshops and practice
exams at Hendersons contributed greatly to their
success
The passion
of your staff and yourself towards education is very evident and,
since we recently moved to Melbourne from Sydney, your extensive
knowledge of the scholarship system in Victoria helped guide
us. Also, the follow up assistance in the form of a practice
interview was of great benefit.
I would
highly recommend Hendersons for anyone who wants their child to
gain invaluable skills and strategies to enable them to
take responsibility for their own learning.

Dear Fran
Just to let
you know my son xxxxx was successful
at the xxxxx exam and was awarded a
scholarship. We found out today. He did very well and was on the
70th percentile for Humanities and on the
98th percentile for both Maths
and Written Expression and 96th percentile overall.
At the interview today they said they considered the Maths
and Written Expression as the two most important
parts of the exam.
He did
both Written Expression and Maths courses (1 each) at
Hendersons and certainly his written expression was his weakest
area before that (he got 14/25 for his first Hendersons essay and
didn't know how to structure an essay or the difference between an
argumentative and imaginative essay!).
I think both
courses he did definitely helped and we thank you for your
assistance.
Regards

Dear
Fran,
My son
**** has just completed his first term at Melbourne High School and
I would just like to say thank you for your tuition and training,
which I believe resulted in **** being selected at Melbourne High
School.
**** was
obviously quite an able student, but I certainly believe your
training, practice examinations and your helpful study and
examination tips gave him the edge. During the time **** was
attending the sessions, I felt even though he would have been
disappointed not obtaining a position at M.H.S, the information and
knowledge he gained was extremely beneficial and I would not have
regretted the money spent at all.
However,
we are very happy he was successful and I will certainly recommend
you and your team at Hendersons.
Yours
sincerely,

Dear
Staff of Hendersons
I would
like to thank all of you for giving your assistance, guidance and
experiences to me before I began the Melbourne High Exam test.
There were many things I learnt in your specific classes that
helped me to propel and do my best.
I believe
that it was this help and the support of my family that helped me
pass, with truly amazing marks, in the Melbourne High Exam. I would
really like to thank the teacher in my English class, because I am
not the most confident person in English and with my teacher's help
I was able to get a competitive grip in this area as
well.
Once
again I would like to thank all the staff and teachers for helping
me during my preparations before the Exam. The Henderson program is
very helpful and can assist anyone with any level of ability and
for that I also congratulate you.
Yours
sincerely,
*****

Dear
Fran,
Thank you
very much for your assistance with my daughter, ***. She has
benefited greatly from attending your courses and will you please
pass on my thanks to your staff. ***said she did her best last
Saturday at the MacRob exam and I am very proud of her. I
know she had the best possible chance through your exam
preparation. I am not worried whether she gets in or not – I
know the courses have assisted her in the long term. She is a
very confident writer and is now writing poetry and stories every
day for pleasure. She has even entered couple of writing
competitions.
At the
exam, there were at least 1100 Year 8 girls plus many Year 9 and I
assume Year 10 students. It was a bitterly cold day and many
students were dressed very inadequately – one was in thongs!
It took over half an hour for them all to go in. She
said she spent her time telling herself she was smart and she would
get into MacRob. I am glad she was so positive.
Thank you
again for your help with my children – I really appreciate your
support.

Dear
Fran,
This is
to let you know that my son ++++, who attended workshops in March/
April this year at Hendersons has been offered a place in the
Acceleration Program of Box Hill High School for Year 7, 2007,
though he did not make it to Balwyn High. I am glad that I
did not pull him out of the workshops half way.
++++
thinks studying at HES was very helpful and it was not how much he
learnt there but the methods he learnt to use in further studies.
Thank you very much for your work and the other teachers
efforts in helping ++++ in his studies.
Kind
Regards,

Hi
Frances, I never actually spoke to you after our daughter was
offered a place at Uni High.
I did
want to say that we appreciated the work that ***** did with
Hendersons. You were right in what you said, that coaching
wouldn't improve her ability, but would improve her technique, and
we are so glad we went through the whole Hendersons process.
It gave us the confidence to know that we really gave it our best
shot, and we weren't left wondering ... if only we had....
whatever.
***** is really
looking forward, on a daily basis, to getting into some more
challenging work. She was probably ready to move on six
months ago, but that's not the system, so we have had to just
remind her that a new phase will be coming soon. She is busy
with other things, though she thinks she is not learning anything
new. This week she competed with her school choir at the
Ballarat Eisteddfod (hon mention), performed at her school Piano
Recital, sat for her Gr 3 Piano exam, AND got a second at the
District Athletics in her 800 metres event. She's achieving,
and I am tired!
She has
had to miss her Italian lesson and her swimming class this week
though. So I don't think she is totally bored, just craving
the next step. The waiting is the thing that must be
boring.
I feel
that we have provided ***** with a lot of opportunities
that she has made full use of, and we know that she will always
take every opportunity that comes her way, which is why we are
thrilled that she is going to Uni High. I feel that we have
got her off to a really good start, and that more and more it will
be her responsibility to manage her studies. I feel we have
done a good job in helping her to take charge of her learning, and
I am glad that I can say that: we have done a good
job.
So thank
you for helping us. You gave me a lot of heart in our
discussions, and I always felt you personally cared about what
happened, and that you were a very knowledgeable and experienced
educator. Passionate too. And you respected our choice
about a government school over a private school.
All the
very best to you Frances, and to Hendersons too.

Dear
Frances
Please
find enclosed ****'s individual report. I would just like you
to reiterate on my phone call yesterday to express our gratitude to
Hendersons in helping both #### and **** in gaining entry into
Melbourne High.
**** and
I are most appreciative of your advice, commitment and
encouragement in preparing the boys for the Melbourne High exam.
Both boys are very capable students but we know that without
tuition from Hendersons neither would have gained a place in
Melbourne High. Although we got the result we set out to
achieve (i.e placement in Melbourne High) we are also very pleased
with the skills the boys have learnt throughout the Hendersons
program and we know that they will retain them throughout their
education.
####
absolutely loves Melbourne High and has done so from day one.
I am sure **** will have the same experience and on behalf of
****, ----,#### and myself we would like to say once again, a big
thank you to you personally and the staff at Hendersons.
Keep up
the good work.
Kind
Regards

Dear
Fran.
1 just
want to say our experience at Hendersons has been an excellent one.
When I looked at the brochure listing all the courses you run, I
was not quite sure where to start, but you made the process simple
and straightforward. The personal assistance you gave me
right from the start when we sat down to plan the classes my
daughter would attend was extremely helpful.
Also the
teachers you employ are very experienced and professional and both
know and teach the material well.
My
daughter has gained a lot from attending both your courses and exam
practices. She is generally not very competitive and is not
in a hurry to complete her work, but she has learnt exam techniques
from Hendersons that will stand her in good stead now and in the
future. She is confidently able to sit down and complete a
three hour exam now; and I think that, in itself, is quite an
achievement.
When my
daughter was ill and unable to attend one of your classes, you went
out of your way to arrange another class for her, and that too was
very much appreciated. I also found your openness and honesty
refreshing, regarding the likelihood or not of being
successful.
My
daughter has won a scholarship to a private school and naturally we
are thrilled. Hendersons was recommended to me by friends and
their daughter too was successful a few years ago in gaining a
scholarship.
They told
me that they felt their daughter gained valuable skills from
attending your courses regardless of the outcome and I feel the
same. I too have recommended Hendersons to friends and look
back on the whole experience as a very positive one.
Thank-you very much Fran for your assistance in this whole process
– it has been very much appreciated.
Yours
sincerely,
